Shopify builds, migrations and management

Shopify is one of the two platforms I live in. Most of my client work is building, migrating and managing stores on it end to end, and much of it is bilingual Hebrew and English, so RTL and translation workflows are routine rather than a special request.

What does a Shopify build include?

A store built around your catalogue, with everything wired and verified before launch. I start from the catalogue, not the theme. How many products, how many variants, which languages, which currencies, and where the traffic is going to come from. That decides the theme, the apps, and how much custom Liquid is worth writing.

The store ships with the things people forget until launch day: proper collection structure, product page layout tested against real products, payment and shipping rules, email notifications, analytics and pixels wired and verified, and a theme you can edit without calling me. The fine art store built to a written design spec shows how a build is documented.

How does a WordPress to Shopify migration keep its rankings?

By treating it as a data and SEO project first. Products, variants, customers and orders come across cleanly. Every old URL gets a redirect. Meta titles, descriptions and structured data are carried over or rebuilt so rankings survive the move. The Caprice migration, a luxury jewelry brand in Hebrew and Russian, is the reference project, and the full order of work is in the WordPress to Shopify migration checklist.

What makes a Hebrew RTL store different?

A Hebrew storefront is not a translated English one. Layout mirrors properly, typography is chosen for Hebrew, numbers and prices stay readable, and the Hebrew content is written for Hebrew search terms, which is part of the SEO work. I build these routinely and will notice if a theme cuts corners on it.

What does ongoing Shopify management cover?

For stores that are already live, I take a monthly retainer that covers theme changes, new landing pages and collections, app changes, speed work and a running list of conversion improvements. I will tell you when something on that list is not worth doing.

Questions people ask

Do you work on existing Shopify stores, or only new builds?

Both. Existing stores usually start with a site audit covering conversion and RTL, then a list of fixes, then monthly management if you want it.

Which Shopify theme do you build on?

Whichever suits the catalogue. Recent projects use Edge and Atelier. The choice comes from product count, variants, languages and the kind of imagery the brand has, not from the theme demo.

Can I edit the store myself after launch?

Yes. Custom work is built as sections and blocks in the theme editor, so day-to-day changes do not need a developer.

Do you work with Shopify brands outside Israel?

Yes. International clients work with me in English by email or a booked call, and Israeli clients in Hebrew.
